Since beginning his boxing journey as an amateur six years ago to now scheduling a fight with Mike Tyson, Jake Paul has brought a lot of eyes to his career.
Though many dismissed him, the YouTube star revealed his world title aspirations in boxing and he remains dedicated to making it happen. In hopes of one day fulfilling his dreams and becoming a champion, the 27-year-old believes a path through the Olympics could help.
According to Jake Paul, he is tired of waiting for the US to bring home a gold medal in boxing at the Olympic Games. Jake will be 31 by the time the 2028 Olympics rolls around and believes he’ll have enough experience to make an impact for his nation.
“I am going to enter the 2028 Olympics,” Jake Paul announced. “For boxing, in Los Angeles.”
“I’m sick and tired of waiting around, waiting for another gold for team USA. So, [I’m] not retiring.”
“I definitely probably just added a couple more years under my boxing career because of that.”
“But, Los Angeles, United States, sick as f***. Yeah, I’m just dropping bombs. No, like actually, I’m going to do it. Why not?”
“2028 Olympics. You heard it here first. Gold medal, you’re mine, brother. Being a world champion is first and foremost and then second is the gold medal.”
