For the first time in 2016, Dooho Choi has won.
Saturday at UFC on ESPN 60, “The Korean Super Boy” Choi (15-4-1 MMA, 4-3-1 UFC) picked up his first victory in over seven years when he finished Bill Algeo (18-9 MMA, 5-5 UFC) with strikes at 3:38 of Round 2. The fight kicked off the main card at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.
A big left hand cracked Algeo in the face. Though Algeo reset as if he was good to continue, the damage sank in and he covered up in pain. Not much more damage was dished as referee Herb Dean intervened.

Choi, 33, has faced a litany of career delays in recent years, having only four times since his 2016 victory over Thiago Tavares. Choi was 0-3 with one no contest in that stretch. Military obligations and injuries delayed his return.
Algeo, 35, falls into a two-fight skid, having lost to Kyle Nelson in March.
