Fernandes on the fight’s key moment

“I have these legs. I’ve trained all my life, not only for this fight. Not only leg kicks,  medium kicks, high kicks, spinning kicks. I need to show my kicks, but I knocked him down with my hands. I have a full game – not just leg kicks.”

Fernandes on fighting on the road

“I knew that he’s from (Abu Dhabi), and I knew that he wanted to bring this win to his people, to his country. But I let that be to my advantage. I put all the pressure on his back and I knew that I could go in there with more tranquility and go in there and get the win.”

Fernandes on what he wants next

“I can fight at the end of this year – that’s my desire. I don’t have an opponent in my mind. I’ll fight anyone. It’s my job. I’m a soldier in the UFC, and I am ready.”
