Belal Muhammad actually did it.
Despite being almost universally counted out, Muhammad stunned Leon Edwards to capture the UFC welterweight title on Saturday, winning a legacy-changing decision in enemy territory in the main event of UFC 304 in Manchester. Muhammad’s 11-fight run is now the fourth-longest active unbeaten streak in the UFC, and regardless of what happens from here, he goes down as a UFC welterweight champion for the rest of his days.
