UFC champ Alex Pereira brought to tears after request to shave young cancer patient’s head

Alex Pereira may be one of the most ferocious fighters in the octagon, but he is human like the rest of us.

The UFC light heavyweight champion, who defended his title with a brutal second-round knockout of Jiri Prochazka in the main event of UFC 303 this past month, recently visited a young cancer patient at The Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, Australia, where Pereira was asked to shave his head.

“Poatan” agreed, and being a father, Pereira couldn’t help but get emotional, as seen in a new video on his YouTube channel.

Pereira is 2-0 in 2024, which includes a vicious first-round knockout of Jamahal Hill in the main event of April’s UFC 300 card.

Prior to that, Pereira captured his second divisional UFC title with a stoppage win over Prochazka in their first meeting at UFC 295 this past November.
