Modestas Bukauskas went to his ground game to get back in the win column.
At UFC 304 in Manchester, England, on Saturday, Bukauskas secured a submission of Marcin Prachnio with an arm-triangle choke in the third round. The finish capped off an exciting back-and-forth battle between a pair of light heavyweights known more for their knockout power than their jiu-jitsu.

Bukauskas was a step ahead of Prachnio for much of the fight, though the hard-hitting Polish striker had his moments. It wasn’t until Bukauskas nailed a powerful trip to take Prachnio to the mat that he fully took control of the action.
From there, Bukauskas methodically worked to improve position, until he found an opening for a modified arm-triangle choke. Bukauskas’ squeeze proved to be too much and Prachnio had no choice but to submit. The official time of the stoppage was 3:12 into Round 3.
Bukauskas (16-6) bounces back from a loss to Victor Petrino from this past November and is now 3-1 in his second stint with the UFC. On the other side, Prachnio (17-8) continued his trend .500 fighting, alternating between wins and losses in his past six fights.
